September 2005                               Editor; Ed Jacobs                       Vol. XVII  Issue VII

Our Next Meeting

Will be on Wednesday September 21, 2005, at 7:00P.M. at our club's flying field, weather permitting.   No alternate site has been designated at this time.  Arrangements will be made at the site should the weather force us to do so.
You may wish to bring a deck chair to sit so you don't have to stand or sit on the damp ground.

At This Meeting
We will be accepting nominations once again from the floor for Club President, Vice President, Membership Secretary/Treasure, Field Boss/Safety Officer, Recording Secretary.  The term for each of these positions is one year and you need only be a paid up member to qualify for the office.  If you think you know of someone who would do justice to the position all you need do is make the nomination when the president opens the floor and calls for the nominations.  I hate to be repetitive, but this is an important issue.  Remember, we will be voting at the October meeting.

                                                      August 17, 2005

The August meeting of the Recker R/C. Club was held at the club field on Wednesday, August 17, 2005.  The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by President Ernie Zam.

Roll Call: Club Membership secretary, Gary Billmaier, 12 members present.  Gary informed the club that as of this date the club has 53 paid up members.

Treasurers Report: Club Treasurer Gary Billmaier reported that the cost of the picnic was $52.00.  The total cost of mowing the field in the month of July was $170.00.  The total cost of mowing the club field to date for this current year is $1,445.00.

Field Report: Ed Grabenstetter.  Ed reported that so far this year he has received no complaints about field conditions.  Ed reported that the grass was in great shape and there were very few weeds.  The last treatments applied to the field were fertilizer and a weed killer.  Because the field grass is in excellent shape, it may not need to be fertilized next year.

Club Shirts: President Zam showed some samples of the new club shirts.  John Schell who was not able to be present, had contacted a firm which had silk screened the club logo on white "T" Shirts.  Ernie is taking orders for these shirts.  The closest price the firm could come up with was between $10.00 and $15.00, the price most likely will be determined by the total quantity of shirts ordered.  The shirt can have the large logo on the front or the back.  If you wish to have only the logo on the back, you can request to have a small logo on the left side, pocket height.  As of this meeting Ernie was not sure this could be done, but he will check it out.  A few members inquired as to the possibilities of purchasing their own shirt (not a "T" Shirt) more like a pull over shirt with a collar or a front button dress shirt and having the logo put on them.  Ernie said that he would check it out.  If you are interested in ordering a shirt or shirts give Ernie a call at 419-698-2442.

Election of Club Officers for the year 2006: With only 12 members present at this meeting, there was not a multitude of candidates names submitted from the membership.  Based on lack of interest of members willing to serve as officers in the club, the question to ask is, "IN WHAT DIRECTION IS THE RECKER RADIO CONTROL CLUB HEADED?"

Meeting Adjourned At 7:18.  Motion Bill Metzger, 2nd. Dennis Smith
